I build a small board for the breakout board from electro smith which uses the Spin FV 1 DSP chip. Audio I/O, 3 pots for control, 4 dip switch for program selection, socket for eeprom and 9V power input The Electrosmith 2144 LPF provides smooth, analog low pass sounds via the reissue of the classic SSM2044 filter IC. This chip has provided the filter section for many famous poly synths. Tracks musical intervals and self oscillates when resonance is at max. All SMT installed Voltage controlle
FV-1. The Spin Semiconductor FV-1 is a complete reverb solution in a single IC. With integrated stereo ADC and DACs, the FV-1 can be treated like any other analog component in your products signal path. Tiptop Audio also offers blank Z-DSP cartridges and a development tool called NumberZ for developers, students and power users who want to design their own effects and cards with the FV-1 DSP chip programing language. I've been interested in Spin FV1 for a long time but the price and the hard to get factor has always a been a drawback. Besides the dev board is ugly expensive and the chip also is. But it seems to be a great chip for DSP application. Isn't the tiptop product equiped with one of them ? Nikon e8700 price
Furthermore, external effect boards (sold sepertely), containing sets of effects, can adapt Erica Black Hole DSP to your way of creating music. Use the module together with Erica Black CV Expander for more delicate CV control over parameters. Sep 05, 2006 · Keith Barr Alesis Founder Launches New Chip Line. Los Angeles (September 5, 2006)--Spin Semiconductor announced the immediate availability of samples of their first production audio signal processor, the FV-1, the "only true single chip reverb solution available to the music and pro audio markets." Urbana flight schoolThe Spin Semiconductor SPN1001-DEVB DSP development board allows development of custom programs for use in Spin's FV-1 digital reverb chip. Using the freely available SpinAsm software, programs can be created and downloaded into the board. Sean from Valhalla DSP did some extra cards for the Z-DSP but TBH, there is the stuff on the Spin Forum, Bit Rot, Broken Silicone, the original TipTop cards and Seans stuff... thats it ANYTHING you come up with for the FV-1 would be VERY welcome and Z-DSP users would be more than grateful! Nov 27, 2015 · SpinCAD Designer is a cross platform (Mac, Windows, Linux) Java program which allows you to create patches for the Spin FV-1 effects chip using a graphical interface. Here I show you how to create ...
Software defined radio or SDR is the most exciting frontier in the field of radio, transferring as it does all signal functions from the analogue to the digital domain. Radios using SDR techniques can be surprisingly straightforward and easy to understand, and [Ray Ring]’s little SDR receiver manages to combine this with the novel use …

Nov 28, 2019 · In his latest video, Ben ‘DivKid’ Wilson takes a look at the prototype for the new Synthesis Technology E520 Hyperion Stereo Effects Processor. The Hyperion, currently under development via a Kickstarter project, is designed to go far beyond common Eurorack effects processors, which are generally based on the Spin FV-1 chip.

The PedalPCB EZ FV-1 brings the power of the Spin FV-1 IC to stripboard, veroboard, and breadboard projects. No SMD soldering is required, the IC is already mounted onto a convenient through-hole DIP-28 sized adapter PCB. However, the FV-1 was designed by Keith Barr, founder of Alesis, and the architecture of the DSP cores of both chips seem rather similar. I am not sure if the Alesis chips use the floating point representation for the delay lines. Some of the differences between the FV-1 and the Alesis chip, from my admittedly inexpert position:
